Jorge and Mercedes Old Havana House. The location of the house makes it an excellent base for those who wish to explore on foot and get to know Old Havana in depth.
The Casa Jorge y Mercedes is located in the busy O’Reilly Street, a well-known lively area of the Habana Vieja. Its location makes it the best place to stay for those who enjoy getting to know the city while walking. It is incredibly close to the main places of interest of the monumental colonial Habana, such as squares, monuments, museums, little shops, bars, arts and crafts stores, art galleries…Everything is close if you stay in this house!
Even though this house is in a bustling area, its rooms are incredibly quiet, since they are interior. This lodging is a nice apartment located in the first floor of an antique colonial building which façade is perfectly preserved.
The three bedrooms have, like the living room, high ceilings (which make the house fresh), and are safe and peaceful. They have all that’s necessary for the guests to be comfortable, such as their own private bathrooms.
One of the main virtues of this house is the balcony, from where guests can entertain themselves watching people come and go.
The breakfast and other meals are high quality and abundant, consisting on homemade food, creole recipes and season products.
We are a nice family that lives in the same house and shares the living room and dining room with their guests. Mercedes, the lovely granny (nice, cheerful, talkative and charismatic), owner of the house with her kind husband Jorge, is the indisputable charm that provides an amazing charisma to the house.
The house is run by the family, being the granddaughter who currently is in charge of the management of the bedrooms.
